Uzodinma Expresses Confidence in APC ICT Facility

Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State has expressed strong confidence in the ongoing electronic registration exercise of the All Progressives Congress (APC), declaring that the party is fully prepared to roll out the process nationwide.

Speaking to journalists on Tuesday during a visit to the APC National Secretariat in Abuja, Uzodinma described the visit as a “working tour” to monitor and assess the progress made so far.

“We came to monitor and evaluate the extent of the e-registration exercise — what has been done. We inspected and conducted a tour around the facilities and we are highly impressed with what we saw. We are confident that any moment from now, our e-registration exercise will start in full force,” he stated.

On the status of President Bola Tinubu’s directive for the construction of a new APC National Secretariat, the governor noted that the project remains ongoing.

“It is still a work in progress. We are working,” he said briefly.

Governor Uzodinma also commended the party’s new National Chairman, describing him as energetic, intelligent, and capable.

“Look at him here — this handsome tall man, full of energy and intelligence. Our party is very excited and happy with the choice of our new National Chairman. We are confident that this is exactly what we need at this time,” he remarked.

Reacting to comments by the African Democratic Congress (ADC), which described a possible APC-led government after the next election as “disastrous,” Uzodinma dismissed the statement as baseless.

“You called it a claim — it is their claim, not ours. I know that there are only two parties in Nigeria: the All Progressives Congress and Others,” he said confidently.

Meanwhile, National Chairman of the APC, Natanwe Yilwatda, highlighted the strong bond between the party leadership and the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF).

“You can see it  very cordial. We are exemplary when it comes to APC. You see it in how we conduct ourselves at NEC meetings, how governors relate with the party, and how the party continues to remain attractive at all levels,” Yilwatda said.

He also emphasized the strategic importance of the e-registration initiative in modernizing party operations and boosting grassroots support.

“This effort will help us in research, in deepening technology, and in providing support to members at all levels,” he added.

Governor Usman Ododo of Kogi State echoed Yilwatda’s comments, affirming the unity within the APC and its governors under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu.

“We are working as a team under the leadership of Mr. President. The Chairman of PGF has spoken — and he has spoken our minds,” Ododo stated.

The APC e-registration initiative is part of broader efforts to modernize the party’s internal structure, strengthen its digital footprint, and enhance voter engagement ahead of future elections.
