APC Mourns Death of National Chairman Yilwatda’s Mother

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Mama Lydia Yilwatda, mother of the party’s National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda. She died at the age of 83.

In a statement issued by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the party described Mama Yilwatda as a devout Christian, a virtuous woman, and a committed leader whose contributions to the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) were immeasurable.

The statement noted that she was widely admired for her humility, compassion, generosity, and selfless service to her family, church, and community.

“Mama’s death is a colossal loss not only to her family and community but also to the entire APC family,” the party said.

The APC extended its condolences to Prof. Yilwatda, the Yilwatda family, the COCIN church, as well as the government and people of Plateau State.

It prayed for the repose of her soul, asking God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
