Troops of Operation HADIN KAI, in collaboration with local security outfits, have neutralized 12 fighters of the Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) in a series of targeted offensive operations across Borno State.
The operation, which was conducted between 29 and 30 August 2025, was backed by intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) provided by the Air Component Command.
Military sources confirmed that the troops cleared terrorist hideouts in Tamsu Ngamdu, Dalakaleri, and Gaza during the offensive. A major breakthrough came at Loskori Kura, where soldiers engaged insurgents in a fierce gun battle that left 12 terrorists dead.
Recovered items from the operation include eight AK-47 rifles, eight fully loaded magazines of 7.62mm ammunition, as well as a cache of drugs and medical supplies reportedly used by the insurgents.
Military authorities have commended the troops for their resilience and renewed determination, urging the Theatre Command to sustain the tempo of the counter-terrorism operations.
