
The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has appointed CSP Benjamin Hundeyin as the new Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO).
Hundeyin, a seasoned communicator and police officer, takes over from DCP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, who previously held the position.
The new spokesperson holds a BA in English Language from Lagos State University and an MSc in Legal Criminology and Security Psychology from the University of Ibadan. He also trained in Civil-Military Coordination at the Martin Luther Agwai International Leadership and Peacekeeping Centre in Jaji, Kaduna.
Hundeyin is an Associate of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), a member of the International Public Relations Association (IPRA), and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM).
His career includes serving as Police Public Relations Officer at Zone 2 Command Headquarters, Onikan, Lagos, and representing Nigeria at the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in Darfur, Sudan, in 2020. He has also worked as an Administration Officer at the Force Public Relations Department in Abuja. Until his latest appointment, he was the spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command.
The Inspector-General of Police has tasked Hundeyin to deploy his communication expertise and policing experience to strengthen public relations and deepen the trust between the Nigeria Police Force and the public.
