Troops Recover Arms Cache in Wukari, Taraba State

Troops of the 6 Brigade, Nigerian Army, have uncovered a cache of arms during a cordon and search operation in Ikyaior village, Wukari Local Government Area of Taraba State.

The operation, carried out on 6 September 2025, followed credible intelligence that one Mr. Terhemen Nzagha, popularly known as “Full Fire,” was allegedly harbouring armed criminals in Sabon-Gida Leke, along the Benue–Taraba border.

Although no suspects were apprehended during the operation, the troops recovered several items including:

Five Special Forces face caps

Three AK-47 magazines

Three FN rifle magazines

Three rifle slings

Two FN rifle breech blocks and slides

One AK-47 firing mechanism

Two FN rifle stocks

Two FN rifle springs

One mini-telescopic sight

One AK-47 rifle butt

One FN rifle bag

One badminton bag

Two charms

One flashlight


Commander of 6 Brigade / Sector 3 Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS), Brigadier General Kingsley Chidiebere Uwa, commended the troops for their professionalism and swift action. He assured residents that the Brigade remains vigilant and committed to stamping out criminality in the state.

General Uwa further urged members of the public to continue providing timely and credible information to security agencies, emphasizing that such cooperation is vital in consolidating peace and security across Taraba and neighbouring communities.
