The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Gwabin Musa, has congratulated the Minister of Defence, Alhaji Mohammed Abubakar Badaru, on the occasion of his 63rd birthday.
In a goodwill message issued by the Director, Defence Information, DDI, Brig. Gen. Tukur Gusau on behalf of the officers, men, and women of the Armed Forces of Nigeria, General Musa described the Minister as a leader of vision, humility, and patriotism whose contributions have strengthened Nigeria’s defence and security architecture.
The CDS commended Badaru’s steadfast support and wise counsel, noting that his exemplary leadership continues to inspire the military in fulfilling its constitutional responsibilities. He added that the Minister has fostered synergy among the Services and defence institutions, thereby boosting operational effectiveness and the morale of personnel across all theatres of operation.
“His leadership style is a source of encouragement, not only to the Armed Forces but to the nation at large,” General Musa stated.
While celebrating the Minister, the CDS prayed for God’s blessings of good health, wisdom, and strength upon him as he continues to serve the country and humanity with distinction.
Badaru, who served as the immediate past governor of Jigawa State, was appointed Minister of Defence in August 2023.
