The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has graduated 10,000 newly trained constables following the completion of their intensive training across various Police Colleges and Training Institutions nationwide.
According to the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, the Passing Out Parade held simultaneously on October 7, 2025, across all designated training institutions. The event marks another milestone in the Force’s ongoing efforts to boost manpower and strengthen operational capacity in line with global policing standards.
In his address to the new officers, the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM, commended the recruits for their dedication and perseverance throughout the rigorous training period. He charged them to demonstrate the values of honour, diligence, and patriotism as they begin their policing careers.
The IGP noted that the recruits underwent extensive training on modern policing techniques, ethical standards, and practical field operations to prepare them for contemporary security challenges. The curriculum, he said, emphasized community partnership, intelligence-led policing, respect for human rights, and responsible use of authority — key principles designed to promote professionalism and public trust in the Force.
The graduation of the new constables forms part of the NPF’s strategic manpower development plan under the current administration, aimed at improving security presence, enhancing response capacity, and ensuring public safety across the country. This comes months after a similar batch of 10,000 constables passed out in January 2025.
IGP Egbetokun reaffirmed the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to continuous training, improved welfare, and institutional reforms that will sustain the gains of modern policing and foster a safer, more secure Nigeria.
