The Silent Heroes Awards Initiative (SHAI) has congratulated Major General Raymond Nkem Ochei (rtd) and Major General Lawrence Fejokwu (rtd) on their successful and unblemished retirement from the Nigerian Army after years of distinguished and selfless service to the nation.
In a statement signed by the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of SHAI, Mr. Odita Sunday, the organization commended the two retired generals for their exceptional commitment to national security, peacekeeping, and nation-building during their illustrious military careers.
Odita described the duo as exemplary leaders whose integrity, professionalism, and quiet impact continue to inspire both serving and retired personnel of the Armed Forces.
He noted that beyond their professional achievements, both officers have made significant contributions to humanity through philanthropy, mentorship, and community development initiatives, particularly in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State, their ancestral home.
“The retirement of these two gallant officers is not the end of service, but the beginning of a new phase of impact,” Odita said. “We are proud of their exemplary conduct and their modest contributions to humanity, which align with our organization’s vision of recognizing men and women who make remarkable differences without necessarily being loud about it.”
The SHAI founder further expressed optimism that Major Generals Ochei and Fejokwu will continue to serve as role models and agents of positive change in society.
The Silent Heroes Awards Initiative is dedicated to celebrating unsung men and women whose quiet but significant efforts contribute to nation-building and community advancement.
