
The Defence Headquarters has announced significant progress in ongoing military operations across the country for the month of November 2025, including the neutralisation and arrest of terrorists, rescue of kidnap victims, and the dismantling of criminal networks in multiple regions.
The Director of Defence Media Operations, Major General Michael Onoja, disclosed this during the monthly media briefing in Abuja, noting that despite complex security challenges across various regions, the Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN) sustained heightened operational intensity throughout the month.
According to him, several terrorists, bandits, extremists and other criminal elements were neutralised, while 69 fighters and their family members surrendered. He also confirmed that 318 kidnap victims were rescued, and troops recovered large quantities of arms and ammunition in multiple engagements.
Troops also thwarted oil theft operations valued at N217.6 million, recovering 201,700 litres of crude oil and 88,177 litres of AGO, while 16 illegal refining sites were destroyed.
OPERATION HADIN KAI (North East)
Operations in Borno and Adamawa States resulted in the neutralisation of numerous Boko Haram/ISWAP fighters, arrest of six collaborators and informants, and the rescue of five kidnap victims. Troops dismantled several camps and seized weapons and mobility assets. The Air Component also conducted close air support missions in Dikwa, New Marte and Gajibo.
