IGP Disu Attends Commissioning of Security Projects in Ogun
The Nigeria Police Force has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening national security following the participation of the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, in the commissioning of key infrastructure projects in Ogun State.
A statement issued by the Force Public Relations Officer, Anthony Okon Placid, from Force Headquarters in Abuja said he event, which drew top government officials and security stakeholders, highlighted the strategic importance of enhanced security measures in the state.

A major feature of the commissioning was the deployment of new security vehicles and electric motorbikes aimed at improving rapid response and operational efficiency of law enforcement personnel.
Speaking at the occasion, the IGP commended the Ogun State Government for its proactive efforts in addressing security challenges. He emphasized that equipping the police with modern tools remains critical to maintaining peace, protecting lives and property, and supporting socio-economic development.
Disu also reiterated the Police Force’s readiness to collaborate with state authorities and the Federal Government to tackle emerging threats across the country. He assured residents of the Force’s continued vigilance and dedication to ensuring a safe environment.
The Police leadership further expressed appreciation to the Governor of Ogun State and other dignitaries for their support in advancing security initiatives. Citizens were encouraged to cooperate with law enforcement agencies by reporting suspicious activities, reinforcing the collective responsibility for community safety.
