ABUJA — As Abuja marks 50 years since the decision to establish the Federal Capital Territory, renewed attention is being focused on the city’s infrastructure, roads and public facilities.
Recent projects and rehabilitation works have changed the appearance of several parts of the capital, with major roads, abandoned projects and public spaces receiving attention.
However, observers say the next phase of Abuja’s development should focus not only on physical infrastructure but also on strengthening the institutions responsible for managing the city.
